Acupuncture for Allergy Relief!

Spring is here and I know for many of you that means allergies!  This can manifest as stuffy or runny nose, itchy eyes, sinus pressure and headaches and overall low energy.  Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs can help ease these symptoms and strengthen your immune system so your body does not react to so many pollens and grasses.  In just one treatment, I can relieve sinus pressure and stuffiness, headaches, and itchy eyes.  Chinese herbs can be used in a capsule or liquid form to help in between acupuncture sessions.  This is much healthier way to treat allergies than with over the counter medications that can become addictive and stop being effective.  Please call or email today so we can set you up to get through this allergy season with ease!  Happy Spring Everyone!!

THE HEAT IS ON! HOW TO STAY HYDRATED AND COOL!

jmatthews61

As many of you know, I suffered from a major surfing accident in late February and I truly appreciate all your support and patience with me these last few months of healing, but I am back to work full time and look forward to seeing you soon!

July has been hot, it seems the topic of every conversation presently. I wanted to share a few key points to keep you healthy during this heatwave. 1: Drink Electrolytes: often times it is hard to stay hydrated with just water when it's this hot. Electrolytes with calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium will hydrate you much quicker. I can order for you or there are several options on Amazon, give me a call and I will tell you what is best! 2: Acupuncture and Cupping: This is a great time to come inside for a cooling and energy moving Acupuncture session. We tend to feel sluggish in this heat and Acupuncture is very effective at increasing circulation to get you feeling more energized. Cupping brings heat in your muscles to the surface of your skin allowing you to release heat that may be trapped in the body. 3: Cooling Foods- Cucumbers, watermelon, strawberries, lettuce, kale, arugula, asparagus and artichoke are all good choices.

Pool workouts are another great idea, run in the pool or simply kick with a float device.

Hope this helps you get through the summer feeling great! Please come see me soon for a mid summer tune up. We all need self care, and this time of year, it is essential.

Have a great week!

Be well, Jane
